NATURE CODES

Nature Codes is an ongoing research project exploring how the hidden behaviors of natural systems can be translated into immersive spatial sound. Combining computer vision, generative algorithms, and mathematical models inspired by phenomena such as bird murmurations, fluid dynamics, weather systems, gravity, and biological growth, the project reconstructs the dynamics that govern these processes rather than merely representing their appearance.

Developed as a real-time engine for 4DSOUND, Nature Codes transforms both observed and simulated behaviors into living spatial compositions, where sound emerges from the interactions, forces, and patterns found in nature. The project sits at the intersection of art, science, and computation, investigating how natural intelligence can become a medium for composition and spatial experience.

​4DSOUND is an object-based spatial audio system that allows sounds to move freely through three-dimensional space, enabling listeners to perceive sound as a physical, navigable medium rather than a fixed stereo image.
